6 - Bollington to Stalybridge - Macclesfield Canal, Lower Peak Forest Canal, Huddersfield Narrow Canal.

Departed a bit late at 08:15. Arrived at Marple Junction behind schedule at 10:55. new crew member MC was waiting, along with the Kitchings that had kindly come out to help us down Marple. This help was rather needed as we now had three boats in front. TK spent most of the time helping the boats in front, along with the two CaRT volunteers! We exited the bottom at 13:25 and said farewell to the Kitchings. Fortunately the other boats had stopped so we could get "stuck" into the Lower Peak Forest. No real problems, we had booked Portland Basin Marina for diesel and got there within time at 17:20. Off at 17:45. Moored up at Tesco moorings in Stalybridge at 18:25. Rather predictable visit to The Society Rooms 'Spoons.
