Tour 2006
3 - Thames Tideway and Bow Creek, Royal Docks to Bow Locks.
Wednesday 18th January 2006
Neil and Peter Wright arrived early at Victoria Dock. Neil changed the fuel filters on NB Earnest and Peter did a spot of shopping. Trevor Burridge arrived not long before departure at 13:00. It was an amble through the Docks. We visited the still un-developed Pontoon Dock and managed to do most of King George V Dock, before being recalled by the Harbour Master! All 7 boats rafted up in the small outer section of the lock and awaited the last of the flood tide. Departure was at 14:40, arrived Bow Locks at 14:30. We teamed up with NB Fulbourne again and went to the London Canal Centre visitor mooring (Islington was rather full) via River Lee and Hertford Union. Pub in the evening.
