The Tuesday Night Club on Tour
Tour 2002
37 - Wrenbury to Market Drayton, Llangollen and Shropshire Union Canals.
Tuesday 6th August 2003.
We shoved off at 07:00, a rather dew covered start to the day.
Going down the Hurleston Flight, Julian had a slip on the gunwales of the boat.
He got a couple of booties, but managed to hang on - just as well seeing as his
camera an mobile were in his pockets!
Out onto the Shropshire Union, heading south again at 10:00. At 10:40 we passed
through Nantwich and spotted Greg Chapman in his NB Stolen Time. 13:00 was not a
good time to start the Audlem Flight, fair bit of traffic, we passed out of the
top lock at 15:45.
Clear of the Adderley Flight at 17:15. We moored up for the night in a rather predictably
shallow mooring on the embankment, the other side of Market Drayton. Rather
lacklustre meal in a Market Drayton pub..........in fact so lack lustre I cannot
even remember it's name!
