10a - Sunday 9th July - Wolverhampton. Wyrley and Essington Canal to Birchills Junction. Walsall Canal to Pudding Green Junction, including Walsall Town Arm, Ocker Hill Tunnel Branch and Ridgacre (Ridgeacre) Branch. New Main Line to Factory Junction. Black Country Museum moorings.

Doe Bank Junction, with the Tame Valley Canal. In the middle of a thunder storm! New BW Regional Offices to the right. This has already suffered a few broken windows. Walsall Canal.

We are just about to creep into the Ocker Hill Tunnel Branch. It does not say no entry, just no mooring! Walsall Canal.

Ocker Hill Tunnel Branch. We never got beyond this bridge in 1994 as the whole site was derelict.

Ocker Hill Tunnel Branch, now residential / long term moorings. We have managed to wind and are reversing slowly towards the tunnel!

The tunnel mouth is just around the corner. As far as we got up the Ocker Hill Tunnel Branch.

Coming out of Ryders Green Top Lock. Ryders Green Junction. Beyond the canal becomes the Wednesbury Old Canal. The stub of the canal to the left is in fact the continuation of the Wednesbury Old Canal. The Ridgeacre Branch does not start until the culvert of the Black Country Spine Road. Walsall Canal.

We have just started up the Wednesbury Old Canal (Ridgeacre Arm).

Wednesbury Old Canal (Ridgacre ( Ridgeacre) Branch). Beyond the culvert is the Ridgacre ( Ridgeacre) Branch proper. The culvert only had to be another 5ft higher to have made it navigable!
