15 - Alvecote to Wykin Bridge - Coventry Canal, Ashby Canal.

NA started off even earlier at 05:45, crew could carry on slumbering as no locks for an hour or so. Started Atherstone at 07:15 and managed to get last mooring, not far passed Bridge No 41 (09:25). PW quickly departed to catch his train back to London, MC not far behind leaving for Manchester. NA now had two days spare, so finished off touching up this (and Last!) years gunwale and hull scrapes.

NA left Top Atherstone solo at 08:10, Hartshill (pass) 09:20 Then diesel and cratch cover studs (two knocked off gunwales!) at Springwood Haven (09:40 to 09:50) .Marston Junction onto the Ashby at 11:10 and finally at new Wykin Bridge moorings at 13:35.
