Tour 2010
5 - Corbie to Amiens, Canal de la Somme.
Tuesday 1st June 2010
10:00 departure from Corbie, Sommelier turned up at the lock, 15mins after our fone call. 12:05 to 14:05, lunch "hour" above Lamotte Lock No16. Nice location, made contact with the two Brit ladies on Locaboat. They were not enjoying the boating aspect of their first boating holiday and failed to grasp any boating techniques from their brief instruction from Locaboat. We stopped on the "University" moorings below Amiens Lock No17 at 16:15. The wharf at St Leu, above the backwaters through the town had one spare spot, but we saved that for the Locaboat ladies, as they "had" to get to a shoreline outlet for a charge up. Drizzly evening, we eventually wandered up to The St Leu waterside restaurant area.
