22 - Friday 21st July - Bath to Bradford upon Avon. Kennet and Avon Canal.

Andrew did indeed leave early (6.00ish) on his Landrover retrieval bike ride. He was to drop his Landrover off at Bradford Upon Avon (our evening destination) and cycle back to Bath. He arrived back at the boat at 12.00ish, knackered and in need of a shower! Ian S and Sophie went shopping an we eventually started off at 13.30. The crew were disbelieving that Neil's predicted trip time of 5 hours would occur, in fact it took 5 hours 20 minutes. We shared The Bath flight with a fairly together crew on a Wessex Narrowboats hire boat. We eventually arrived below Bradford Lock at 19.50. This was a barely floating mooring affair, just beside the old barn. There seemed to be excessive linear moorings virtually all the way from Bath. That night we went out in Andrew's Landrover to the Fox and Hounds in Collerne, a fair drive away, near Box. Ian S bought another bottle of decent single malt whiskey, to replace Andrew's, which we had now mostly imbibed!
