17 - Corbehem to Douai, Canal de la Sense.
Sunday 13th June 2010
09:15 departure from Corbehem, we dropped off the zapper at Corchelettes Lock and then entered the lock and proceeded back to Douai. There was a bit of confusion above Douai Locks, we had to hang about. Interesting to note that the drained lock was now back working and the other lock was drained and being worked on! So back at the moorings at 11:20, after passing a very long queue of commercials, waiting for the, now single, Douai Lock. After summoning one of the moorers at the moorings, who moved a small cruiser out of the way, we got Final Fling back on its inside mooring. Not long after making the Final Fling "bridge" out to the other moored boats, Colin Stone arrived (barge KEI) and we had a brief chat about the VAT and TRIWV debacles. JW arrived that afternoon with a new contactor for the bowthruster, Neil was ready for it and it was soon on. That night it was popular choice to go back to the "Neuf Dragons" Chinoise.
